You invested in New Expressive Works in 2020…

…and we were able to positively sustain the creativity of  multi-cultural independent performing artists in our community.

Here are some quotes from our 2020 residents…

“This residency has supported my arts journey by validating and recognizing my strengths as an artist and organizer. N.E.W. has helped me create a larger perspective of my work and provided resources to support it.”

“Having a bright, clean, and warm space is not something I take for granted especially during the pandemic when so many of my favorite spaces have had to close their doors. N.E.W. has held many moments of creative indulgence as well as spirited playtime for myself as well as many others in my community.”

“This time and space have given me the ability to voice and tackle many of the emotional struggles I am facing every day. I finally have an opportunity to move with autonomy and without the pressure or constraints of traditional theatrical experiences. This residency could not have come at a better time.”

When you donate today, you will help us continue this important work!

In 2022, N.E.W. is poised to -

  • Continue supporting the artistic practices of performing artists and small arts collectives through mini-residencies.
  • Expand our ongoing mentoring, networking, grant-writing and strategic planning resources.
  • Launch a series of financial literacy workshops to strengthen and empower our artists.

Here are three ways to support us:-
