Needless to say, this year has been extra *adventurous.* As with so many arts non-profit organizations, NEW is dealing with its fair share of financial struggles. While, these times in our history seem to be a series of ebbs and flows of crisis and dramatic events, we at NEW continue to to fulfill our mission in a steady, unrelenting, and deliberate way. So, please read on. I would deeply appreciate your personal financial support as well as any help you can provide by referring folks to donate to NEW this year.
As a recap, NEW, since 2012, has been providing affordable space for choreographers and movement artists to rehearse, teach, and perform new works on their own terms. The space has truly transformed many artists' lives. We continue to be a springboard by providing opportunities and encouragement for movement artists to follow their instincts and build viable paths to keep making innovative and bold works.
I trust you know how I, and the small and mighty team at NEW, work hard to make sure the space is affordable, adaptible, and safe for all who bring their creative energy to NEW. In addition to the venue itself, NEW contributes to our region's arts ecosystem by engaging with regional civic leaders to proactively build coalitions and conversations to support sustainability for our sector.
I am reaching out today to ask you to consider supporting NEW with a year end donation, so that we can maintain and elevate our programming for the year to come. The goal is to raise $50,000.00 for NEW by the end of the year.
